  I own this device for two weeks now and I am simply amazed by the results achieved by a device of this price. I'm up to now limited to the resolution of 3600 DPI and the scans are of very good quality and more than sufficient for an operating on the internet. The scanner is of use ridiculously simple, the included software has certainly an interface a bit cheesy and not always very clear but once one has understood the logic it allows to fully exploit the scanner. Both negative N/B and negative color results are excellent. The slides sub-cache are maybe a notch below but scan a slide under cache there is in the absolute not the best way to proceed in my opinion, one obtains much better results in getting out the dia of the cache and placing them directly in the carrier film. In short, I highly recommend it! Simple operation and reliable. An indispensable tool for work on library materials non-empruntables. an investment that quickly pays for itselfvery pleasant to use, as my previous scanner, also a canon, which lasted for a very long time.
